Bushbury Hill EMB has a Tenancy Sustainment Fund (TSF) to help BHEMB managed tenants who are at risk of losing their home as a result of rent arrears.
It can be used for the payment towards rent arrears and some associated court costs to prevent evictions.
To be considered for support tenants must work with their income management officer for a sustained period, usually at least 6 months to consistently reduce their rent arrears. This means making regular payments of rent and reducing the outstanding debts at an agreed rate .
For tenants who make an agreement and stick to it, the TSF can pay half the outstanding amount, up to a maximum of £1100. Access to the TSF is discretionary.
